Rationale and effectiveness of Vertora therapy in the complex treatment of pregnant women at risk

The additional follow-up treatments of the risk groups of pregnant women are carried out on the basis of Order No. 44 of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Russian Federation dated 01.27.2006 "On additional follow-up treatments (rehabilitation) of patients in a sanatorium" and the subsequent additions with Order No. 876 of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Russian Federation on December 25, 2006 "Amending the Order of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Russian Federation dated January 27, 2006."

Rehabilitation in a sanatorium aims to ease the period of pregnancy and reduce the manifestation of pathological symptoms of other diseases. The appointment of medical and physical procedures is carried out according to 2 criteria: effectiveness and safety for the pregnant woman and the fetus.

The course of rehabilitation treatment in a sanatorium includes climate therapy, rational nutrition, physical therapy, various physical procedures, psychotherapy and Vertora therapy (developed by Professor K.L. Kinlein). Since 2006, 470 pregnant women have entered the sanatorium for rehabilitation. Their ages ranged from 17 to 45 years, and the stage of pregnancy – between 12 and 28 weeks. Pregnant women come from obstetrics and gynecology clinics after an acute process with various extragenital and obstetric pathology subsides.

Pregnancy is a normal physiological process that causes various anatomical and functional changes in the body. Under the influence of hormonal changes, a reorganization of all the basic functions of the body occurs, which leads to a faster functioning of the organs: emotional instability (irritability, bad mood, drowsiness, fatigue), an increase in blood volume and circulatory disorders (stasis) appear. , changes in metabolism, displacement of the body's center of gravity and imbalance, loosening of ligaments and instability in joints, including the pelvis and lower spine.

In addition to extragenital diseases and obstetric pathology, posture disorders and signs of osteochondrosis were found in 62% of women. When conducting the research, we divided the women into 2 groups.

Group I (21 people), on whom the above-mentioned complex for restorative treatment is applied.

II group (21 people), on which only climate therapy, rational nutrition, Vertora therapy is applied.

Vertora Therapy (DT) is a system of safe, prolonged, comfortable relaxation (relaxation) of the paravertebral muscles, muscles of the back and shoulder girdle, and gentle stretching (tightening) of the spine in its functional position and maintenance of physiological curves that allow elimination of the uneven gravitational load on the spine when shifting its center of gravity, and improving blood circulation, rehydration and accelerating the metabolism in the discs, which leads to the elimination of the pain syndrome.

The connection of the spine and its neurohormonal formations with the internal organs allows predicting the course of psychosomatic diseases during Vertora therapy. When using Vertora therapy in patients with respiratory diseases, the respiratory function (ERF), the strength and endurance of the respiratory muscles increases. The use of Vertora therapy in diseases of the gastrointestinal tract contributed to the reduction and elimination of the motor-evacuation function (A.V. Kapustin, O.V. Balakireva, K.L. Kinlein 1996).

Considering that they are pregnant, when detecting changes in the spine, our patients cannot be manipulated by manual stretching, while correction using Vertora therapy is safe and comfortable for pregnant women. In addition to muscle relaxation, mental relaxation is also achieved: fear and anxiety are reduced. Women fall asleep during the procedure using Vertora therapy and after its completion feel rested, refreshed, with reduced weight in the back and legs. The procedure is performed every day with a duration of 30 to 60 minutes.

Laying the pregnant woman on the Vertora mattress is done by a trained doctor or nurse in a specially equipped office with purified air at a comfortable temperature, accompanied by relaxing or classical music (Chopin, Beethoven, Verdi, Mozart, etc.).

The study of the effectiveness of the treatment with the application of Vertora therapy was carried out in groups according to the subjective evaluations of women and objective studies (pulse, blood pressure, heart rate of the fetus, the study of microcirculation of blood flow by laser Doppler flowmetry (LDF) and vegetative- resonance test (VRT), before and after the procedure and treatment Overall treatment was well tolerated - in group I - by 94% of patients, in group II - 98%.

Use of Maternal and Fetal Doppler Cardiovascular Analyzer ADMP – 01The method is based on registering changes in the blood flow, in the small blood vessels, using laser radiation to monitor the tissues and subsequent processing of the rays reflected by the tissues, based on the Doppler effect.ART is performed on the hardware-program complex "Imedis-Voll" on biological points with the aim of integral assessment of the state of the body and the functioning of organs and systems

All pregnant women were surveyed using the SAN method (self-esteem, activity, mood).

In the I-group after the course of treatment of the women, positive responses in all parameters were obtained in 88%, and in the II-group the improvement according to test data was observed in 92% (see table)

IndicatorBefore treatmentAfter treatment
Self-esteem3.25.3
Activity3.05.0
Mood3.55.5

According to the test results, the normal assessment for the condition is in the range of 5.0 – 5.5 points.

Graphic presentation of the results of the tests of SAN before and after the treatment by Vertora therapy (II gr.)

Objective examinations: pulse, blood pressure and heart rate of the fetus during treatment with Vertora therapy - no deviations.

Research by the LDF method before and after the application of Vertora therapy in the II group showed a 29% increase in the normal type of microcirculation (spastic-atonic type was recorded before the treatment).

When examined by a vegetative-resonance test in the treatment of pregnant women using Vertora therapy, it was found: significantly improved blood supply, including in the "placenta-fetus" system, improvement of lymphatic drainage and relaxation of the back muscles, significant reduction of retained fluids, improvement of the trophic of tissues and organs.

Thus, Vertora therapy for pregnant women at risk is an extremely efficient and, most importantly, safe method for affecting the spine, which has a POSITIVE effect on the whole body:

  • improves the course of physiological processes in pregnant women,
  • reduces the pathological manifestations of other diseases,
  • promotes adaptation and improves quality of life.
